Olga Karpova, executive director of KROK Business School, took part in the Summit on the topic "Challenges of training responsible leaders for a better world", organized by the Positive Impact Rating Association For Business Schools as part of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on January 17, 2024. Such meetings and events are a platform for getting to know colleagues from various educational institutions and representatives of business, international organizations, for exchanging opinions, determining trends and main areas of activity.
The summit was attended by more than 50 people from more than 20 countries - deans, directors of business schools, presidents and vice-presidents, representatives of international organizations and businesses, student ambassadors. Ukraine was represented at the Summit by Olga Karpova, as the head of the Business School, and Alina Badina, student ambassador, they were the only representatives of Business Schools from Ukraine.
During the event, the results of a survey of 12,800 business school students from different countries of the world were presented on the topic "Can business schools become organizations that truly develop responsible leaders and become a positive force influencing societies?" The key topics identified by students during the PIR 2023 survey and to which the administration and teachers of educational institutions should pay attention, in particular, the integration of sustainable development topics into the curricula and making these topics mandatory for study in all programs, the involvement of various stakeholders in the activities and educational process, not only business leaders, introduction of innovative teaching methods. based on the diverse experiences of stakeholders, projects and learning spaces involving and led by students, diversity and inclusiveness among students.
The second part of the event involved round tables with the participation of deans, directors, business representatives and students who discussed the topic "How a business school can become a school that truly develops responsible leaders and becomes a positive force in society" in brainstorming mode. Discussions were moderated by student ambassadors, and then they summarized and presented the results of the discussion.
