Participation of KROK Business School Faculty in the International Conference “MEDIATION & UNIVERSITIES 2.0”

On November 14, 2025, KROK Business School faculty members – PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Management and Innovation Development Diana Levchenko, and PhD in Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Department of Management and Innovation Development Nataliia Kalinina – took part in the international conference “Mediation & Universities 2.0.”

The conference focused on the role of universities as platforms that integrate research, academic programs, and practical initiatives in the field of mediation. Panel discussions addressed the integration of mediation into education, justice, the economy, and public policy, the exchange of the latest scientific findings and practical cases, and the identification of further directions for development.

The KROK Business School faculty delivered a joint online presentation titled “Opportunities for Using AI in Mediation and Conflict Management.” Its key conclusions included:

  • AI serves as a tool for enhancing communicative interaction;
  • The use of AI in mediation expands possibilities for preventive conflict resolution through risk analysis, assessment of parties’ emotional states, and forecasting potential scenarios of dispute development;
  • In the field of management, AI ensures systematic integration of managerial decisions within complex corporate or inter-organizational structures;
  • The creation of specialized tools – such as mediation chatbots or decision-support systems for crisis negotiations – opens a new format of digital peacebuilding;
  • Digital technologies do not replace humans but enhance their ability to understand, cooperate, and reach consensus.

In summary, the international conference “Mediation & Universities 2.0” became a productive platform for professional exchange and the formation of new research ideas.
