On November 20, 2025, the KROK Business School hosted a meeting of MBA program students with Kateryna Benivska, a franchising expert. MBA students learned how franchising helps scale businesses, explored and discussed practical cases, financial and legal advice, and tools for network development.
Key topics of the meeting:
- How much franchise owners in Ukraine really earn
- How to avoid major losses due to an unfavorable contract
- Why simply selling a brand does not guarantee success
- Tools for scaling a business and managing a network
Kateryna Benivska emphasized: franchising is strategic business scaling, not just selling the right to use a brand. It’s about the team, processes, and proven solutions that allow building sustainable models and developing a network.
It’s also important to remember that franchising is not only about selling but also about retaining partners within the system. Creating value through support, marketing tools, training, and solutions makes cooperation more profitable than starting a business from scratch.
Participants received practical advice on the financial and legal aspects of franchising, learned how to avoid critical mistakes, and how to build profitable and scalable companies.
Franchising is a new level of business: growing, profitable, and structured. This message became the main takeaway of the meeting.
