Certificate Award Ceremony: “Basic Skills of a Mediator”

On December 16, a formal ceremony was held to present the certificates of advanced training and program certificates for “Basic Skills of a Mediator” to representatives of the Association of Lawyer-Mediators of Ukraine.

Over the course of four months, program participants actively mastered alternative dispute resolution methods, models and approaches in mediation, emotional competence of a mediator, conflict psychology, and more. The nine modules they completed have become a solid foundation for their future professional activities.

The international component of the training program was both useful and engaging. Participants had the opportunity to learn about mediation practices in the Netherlands during sessions with Professor Jan Van Zwieten, as well as study negotiation techniques with renowned international expert Steve Alban Tineo.

Despite today’s challenges, the group—which included private enforcement officers, lawyers, notaries, and psychologists—successfully completed all stages of training and passed the final assessment.

Feedback confirms: mediation is an essential part of modern professional practice.

  • Dmytro Selyanskyi: We need to promote this program among colleagues so that as many people as possible can acquire these skills and knowledge, as they are extremely necessary in today’s environment! Thank you!!
  • Dina Pimakhova: Thank you, a meaningful and informative course.
  • Oleksandr Sharkov: The information was fully sufficient for understanding the topics and applying the knowledge in practice. All courses turned out to be interesting, informative, and well-structured. Each was useful in its own way, making it hard to single out one—everything was important and relevant. The training left a positive impression and provided valuable knowledge.

We take our students’ suggestions and feedback seriously and are grateful to everyone who shared ideas for improving the program. Thanks to this feedback, we can make the educational process even more high-quality, modern, and aligned with the needs of the professional community.

We wish all program participants continued professional growth, new achievements, and confident steps in applying mediation in their work!
