Training Course. Business Transformation: How to implement changes using the Design Thinking Method

Today, it's important to learn not only to create value for customers, but also to align ideas with business priorities, and to run, scale, keep your business focused and attract key stakeholders (clients, investors, employees, external communities).

The course is based on: Design Thinking Methodologies, anthropological trend studies, CEB, Kantar, and HBR studies.

Duration: May 17-19 (18 hours - 3 days)

TARGETED AUDIENCE?

The Business Transformation course: How to implement change using the Design Thinking method is designed for company executives, business unit managers, project team leaders, for experts working with new projects and developing an innovative culture in the company.

Specific knowledge and skills needed to study the course:

  • Understanding what a business strategy is, how the strategy affects the tasks of the company's functional divisions, understanding of the basic business processes, the ability to work in a team.

WHY DESIGN THINKING IS IMPORTANT IN BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT TODAY?

Challenges of the modern world:

  • Accelerated changes in all spheres of activity and industries. You need to be in constant motion: view processes, goods, services, business model, sales channels.
  • Only those companies that are capable of rapid adaptation to new conditions survive. Namely, they are ready and able to seek solutions quickly and effectively.
  • Linearity of thinking does not allow to make effective decisions. Increased the need to create cross-functional commands.

DESIGN THINKING is a methodology of thinking and a tool that allows you to:

  • Take a fresh look at solving topical business tasks by studying customer needs, analyzing opportunities and risks, understanding the environment and ecosystem in which the organization operates;
  • work efficiently in cross-functional commands;
  • Create unique, unique, innovative solutions for customers, adhering to the core business focus.

AIMS OF COURSE

  • Become familiar with the approach and methodology for managing innovation / new initiatives during the transformation period.
  • Learn to notice and highlight innovative features (in products, processes, programs).
  • Understand for which tasks it is worth using the methodology.
  • Understand how to manage innovative projects in cross-functional teams with a single business focus.
  • Understand the place of DM in organizational processes and in project management.

  • Training format - a workshop in a classroom with a facilitator. Balance thinking and doing.

TRAINING PROGRAM:

  1. Purpose: Why Transformations and Innovations for Business and Stakeholders?
  2. Innovation and way of thinking: Typology of thinking: from fixed to growing mindset. Idea vs opinion Partnership vs. Competition.
  3. Team: Cross functionality. Principles and approaches for team formation. Partnership vs. Competition.
  4. Design Thinking as a business tool for generating targeted ideas and finding effective solutions.
  5. Design Thinking Methodology: A Review of 5 Stages. The place and role of DM (on the line in Agile, Lean), how to integrate the methodology into current business processes: from defining a business task to creating an idea, its implementation and scaling (change management).
  6. Trends: Overview of the Trend concept. Dive into the behavioral trends of Ukrainians and how to work with them in business.
  7. Make it stick: Test Drive DT for real business tasks. Demonstrate and enable participants to go through the process of solving a specific task, using the DM approach. At each stage of immersion with a facilitator to understand the value / benefits of the methodology.

  • Opportunity for interactive learning: learning, practicing.
  • Ability not only to plunge into the knowledge and theory of Design Thinking, but also to practice the methodology, solving a real business problem, in a team under the guidance of a facilitator.

  • Possibility of 1 hour consultation with the trainer-facilitator after the training within 1 month on integration of the methodology in the business environment.
