The “Mediator’s Handbook: A Professional Guide” awarded 2nd place at the 4th International “Yuridika” Competition

The publication “Mediator’s Handbook: A Professional Guide”, prepared by the author team including Olga Karpova, Kateryna Karashchuk, Diana Levchenko, Viktoriia Polishchuk, and Oksana Siedashova, and published by KROK Business School, has won 2nd place at the 4th International Competition of Scientific and Educational Publications in Law, Security, and European Integration “Yuridika” in the category Reference Publications in Public Law (encyclopedias, dictionaries, guides).

This is the first publication in Ukraine that comprehensively explores Ukrainian legislation in the field of mediation, while also providing practical document templates that are highly useful for mediators.

We express our sincere gratitude to the reviewers for their high evaluation and support of the publication:

  • Ruslana Havryliuk, Doctor of Law, Professor, Head of the Department of Public Law at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University
  • Oleksandra Karmaza, Doctor of Law, Professor at the University of Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization, Professor at the Institute of Postgraduate Education of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv

The competition is organized by the Ukrainian Publishers Association, the Center for Ukrainian-European Scientific Cooperation (CUESC), Yuridika Publishing House, and Odesa State University of Internal Affairs.

The Mediator’s Handbook was created thanks to the enthusiasm, creativity, and strong belief of its authors in the importance of mediation for society. Mediation is not only a tool for resolving disputes, but often for preventing them, preserving partnerships, and fostering the art of dialogue and mutual understanding.

This award is more than recognition — it confirms that the culture of dialogue, partnership, and civilized conflict resolution in Ukraine is rapidly evolving.

What makes this publication unique?

  • the first comprehensive Ukrainian publication systematically covering mediation legislation
  • a practical tool with ready-to-use templates and case examples
  • a strong focus on real-world application for professionals working with conflicts in business, law, and management

As Viktoriia Polishchuk aptly noted:
“This award is not only about professional recognition, but also a confirmation that the culture of dialogue and mediation is taking its rightful place within Ukraine’s legal environment.”

KROK Business School demonstrates through its daily work its commitment to developing education in mediation and alternative dispute resolution, supported by a solid methodological foundation.

Behind this achievement stands more than just a book — it reflects the systematic efforts of KROK Business School, including:

  • development of the Master’s program “Mediation and Conflict Management”
  • implementation of the certificate program “Basic Mediation Skills”
  • creation of a strong methodological and practical base for professionals

We are proud of the author team and warmly congratulate them on this outstanding achievement!

More impactful projects are ahead — shaping a new culture of leadership, dialogue, and cooperation.
