In June, the KROK Business School team made a partnership visit to The Netherlands Business Academy (Breda, Netherlands) as part of the ERASMUS+ mobility program, supported by the European Union. This institution is a long-standing and trusted international partner of KROK University, united by years of fruitful cooperation, joint educational programs, and shared values.
During the visit, the KROK team had the pleasure of meeting with long-time friend and partner Jan van Zwieten, President of The Netherlands Business Academy. In a sincere and constructive conversation, they discussed future areas of collaboration, including:
- Development of a Master’s program in Mediation and Conflict Management
- Curriculum design for the “Basic Mediation Skills” course and involvement of international experts in teaching
- New opportunities for academic mobility for students and faculty
- Organization of joint international events, workshops, and research projects
“We value Mr. Jan van Zwieten’s openness and vision, his continued attention to Ukraine’s needs, and his willingness to support educational initiatives that foster peace, understanding, and progress,” — said Olha Karpova, Executive Director of KROK Business School.
A highlight of the visit was attending the MBA graduation ceremony, held in a unique and historic church venue in Breda. The event blended European traditions, solemnity, heartfelt gratitude, and inspiring speeches from graduates and faculty. It was symbolic that in such a spiritual and cultural space, new business leaders completed their studies — ready to take responsibility for sustainable development, transformation, and dialogue in their communities.
A particularly meaningful moment was reconnecting with Oksana Oliinyk, a graduate of the first cohort of the Master’s program in “Mediation and Conflict Resolution,” jointly implemented by KROK Business School and The Netherlands Business Academy. Oksana shared her learning experience, how she applies her knowledge professionally, and her future plans. Today, she leads a school for Ukrainian children in Breda — a powerful example of how Ukrainians adapt, integrate into Dutch society, and build successful careers from the ground up.
This visit not only strengthened our ties with European partners but also inspired new projects that will allow KROK Business School students, faculty, and alumni to broaden their horizons, learn in a multicultural environment, and implement best practices in Ukraine.
Together, we are building a future where education is a tool for sustainable development, dialogue, and leadership.
We are grateful to the ERASMUS+ EU program for financial support and the opportunity to carry out this visit within the mobility framework.
