Discussion on the content of the Master's program in Mediation and Conflict Resolution with stakeholders

In line with the educational activities concept of KROK University and with the aim of continuously improving the content of educational programs, on March 6, 2025, the leadership of KROK Business School met with Ms. Kateryna Karashchuk, Head of the Committee on Mediation and other types of alternative dispute resolution of the Council of Private Executors of Ukraine, Head of the Public Organization "Association of Mediator-Lawyers of Ukraine." During the meeting, issues related to the implementation of standards for the mediator profession were discussed, particularly the "labor mediator" standard. In this context, it is important to note that the discipline "Labor Mediation" is proposed as part of the students' elective courses.

In light of the recently adopted Law on the Mental Health System in Ukraine by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, mediation and alternative dispute resolution methods can contribute to preserving people's mental health by minimizing the consequences of conflicts. Additionally, Ms. Karashchuk recommended including topics on the use of artificial intelligence in mediation to meet modern trends and requirements. The meeting was attended by Olga Karpova, Director of KROK Business School, Professor Oleksandr Kalinin, Head of the Department of Management and Innovative Development, Associate Professor Oksana Sedashova, Ph.D., guarantor of the Master's program in Mediation and Conflict Resolution, Senior Lecturer Diana Levchenko, Doctor of Philosophy in Law. Recommendations and suggestions will be taken into account in the new version of the educational-professional program and in the curriculum for the next academic year.
