Tetyana Chekhovska | Mediation and Conflict Management

Tetyana Chekhovska is a practicing lawyer with over 25 years of experience in the field of jurisprudence, corporate law, and dispute resolution.

The uniqueness of her approach as a mediation instructor lies in the synergy of her deep understanding of Ukraine's judicial and enforcement systems, legal practice in the commercial sector, and international conflict management experience gained in Germany.

Tetiana has practical experience in resolving complex commercial conflicts and problematic debt "from both sides" of the process, making her course highly applied and focused on the real cases of state and private enforcement officers.

Key Experience and Competencies

  • Over 25 years of legal practice: experience leading the legal departments of large corporations, private practice in the commercial and civil sectors, and legal support for businesses.
  • Management of complex debt settlement projects (3+ years): real experience leading large-scale problem debt collection projects in the banking sector (PJSC VTB Bank), conducting high-risk negotiations, and developing out-of-court strategies.
  • International mediation and consulting experience (2.5+ years in Germany): conducting mediations, providing social and integration counseling for Ukrainians in Hamburg, and collaborating with leading German NGOs (ASB e.V., Feine Ukraine e.V., Verikom).
  • Training activities: author and facilitator of the practical training sessions "Conflict as a Point of Growth" and "Secrets of Successful Integration," conducted in Germany and Ukraine.

Education and Additional Qualifications

  • Higher legal education (diploma officially recognized and confirmed in Germany).
  • Attorney-at-law practice: Certificate of the right to practice law (since 2006).
  • Certified mediator:
    • "Basic Mediation Course for Lawyers" (Higher School of Advocacy of Ukraine);
    • "Basic Mediator Skills" (Ukrainian Mediation Center);
    • Specializations: Family Mediation, Mediation in Restorative Justice (Hamburg).
  • International qualifications (Germany): Peer Consultant for traumatized refugees (UKE & CENTRA), Multiplier in the field of integration counseling, "Technologies of Training Activities" course (Training BOX).
  • Training in International Humanitarian Law (Ukrainian Bar Association).
