Polina Nesterenko is a lawyer and compliance officer in the field of anti-money laundering (AMLCO) in Cyprus and a certified mediator in commercial disputes (Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry). She holds a PhD in Law and a Master of Law (LL.M) in Mediation from Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius, Lithuania. She is a certified mediator by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySec) with an Advanced Certificate and AMLCO certificate, as well as AMLCO certificates from the Cyprus Bar Association and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). Polina is also a professional adult trainer (level: EPS/CYQF/EQF5).
Since 2018, Polina has been working at FLANECON LIMITED, a company licensed by the Cyprus Bar Association. In this role, she serves as a compliance officer in the field of anti-money laundering (AMLCO). Polina ensures the company's compliance with AML policies and regulations, assesses potential risks, and supports the processes of creating and representing international companies in Cyprus. Additionally, she acts as a legal advisor, preparing legal documents for clients to ensure the functioning of their companies. Polina actively participates in negotiations on behalf of clients with developers, contractors, financial and banking institutions, as well as with government authorities of the Republic of Cyprus.
Furthermore, Polina has established herself as a qualified mediator and trainer, specializing in commercial disputes. She conducts mediation training that meets the competency criteria of the International Mediation Institute (IMI) and actively participates in international mediation tournaments such as INADR, CDRC, and ICC as an evaluator. As a member of the INADR Law School Tournaments Committee and a registered mediator with the Ministry of Justice of Cyprus, Polina demonstrates a commitment to developing future mediators and maintaining the highest ethical standards. She is currently in the process of obtaining IMI qualified mediator status.
Polina is a registered mediator in commercial disputes with the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a professional trainer and instructor in adult education (level: EPS/CYQF/EQF5). She has also undergone additional training at Edwards Mediation Academy and in the IM Campus Mediation Training program.
